The Charity Ball

Our next event is on the 26th October 2012. Book your table today!

Summary Details for 2012

Date – Friday October 26th. Reception Bar will be open from 6.30pm, dinner will be served from 7.30pm. carriages at 2pm and the hotel bar will remain open for residents only on demand!!!

Venue – Stratford Manor http://www.qhotels.co.uk/hotels/stratford-manor-warwickshire.aspx there is a discount rate when you quote The Charity Ball.Org

Tables – tables of 10 are £400 are highly recommended. Tables of 11 are possible but very tight and 12 is doable for a dozen Kylie’s! We did have one table of 12 last year but I would advise against it unless really necessary. Single seats are not available until all tables have been offered if odd seats are available late on they will be charged out at £45pp. Indications are that all 25 tables will be sold completely well before the event.

Table Reservation – to recognise the support from those companies and individuals that attended last year, tables will be offered to those that attended 2011 first and these will be held until April 2nd. Tickets will go on General Sale on April 3rd.

Table Themes – all tables can be themed and I recommend you look at the pictures on the website gallery and the Facebook for ideas. Anything goes as long as it is appropriate and safe. Power to the table can be providing running water may be a challenge! Themed tables was probably the biggest talking point from last year and I am expecting some Oscar winning designs.

Dinner – 3 Courses with coffee and mints. Vegetarian option available. Table organisers to advise dietary requirements before the evening.

Drinks – Champagne and Wine can be pre-ordered this is strongly advised as 250 people at the Bar could cause unnecessary delays. A full list will be available soon with pre-order instructions.

Entertainment – once again we will provide a DJ and Live music. We have invited Rhythm Studios Paul Johnston and the incredible voice of the master Andrew James to get us in the mood. As tradition as it ‘I Will Survive’ will be sung with spoons! Parents will be encouraged to do the Wedding Dance if only to embarrass their kids and someone will turn in to John Travolta and Oliver Newton John and why not it’s a Charity event.

Photography – a photographic company will be in attendance immediately outside the hall and we strongly recommend you get a table picture and/or a picture with your partner. Rates will be discounted for the evening.

Raffle – there will be a raffle and prizes will once again be of the highest quality. All prizes will be over £25 and last year we had a Channel Make-up Box worth over £400! Tickets will be £1

Auction Prizes – once again we will try and put together some more ‘money can’t buy prizes’ like the meal for 8 cooked by celebrity chef Sally Bee or Press Passes to a London Concert supplied by the incredible Zoe Griffin. We will aim to have auction prizes starting in value from £250 or rare prizes with incalculable value.  Auction items will all start at £50 and rise in minimum £10 increments.

Beneficiaries – there will be two beneficiaries to the amounts raised on the night:

  • 353… the not for profit organisation set up by Tony Lewis in remembrance of his son Private Conrad Lewis. 353 IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION WITH THE AIM OF HELPING MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY COMMUNITY BY DELIVERING LONG-TERM SUPPORT TO A VARIETY OF CHARITIES, SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. WE WILL ALSO GUIDE AND SUPPORT MOURNING FAMILIES WHO WANT TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITIES IN THE NAME OF THE PERSON THEY HAVE LOST.
  • Sally Bee’s Heart Charity – Details coming soon

Dress Code – the evening ‘minimum standard dress code’ is Black Tie but a special ‘dress to impress’ effort will be encouraged. Anyone wearing items from a Charity Shop will be especially applauded.

Accounts – the Charity Ball.Org accounts are managed and audited by MJ Golz – Harrow, Middx. 2011 accounts will be published before the event this year.
